Kate Haskell

Self taught artist from South Cornwall who paints abstract animals and stunning landscapes.  She has a degree in Conservation Management and some of her work has a strong conservation slant to it.

In the heart of the beautiful Cornish countryside there is so much inspiration to fuel her paintings and she particularly loves the light and different tones of the sky and sea.

She exhibits in two different galleries in Cornwall. The Mirva Gallery in Penzance and Corniche Cove in Mevagissey.  She exhibited at The Royal Cornwall Show in Wadebridge for the first time this year.

Her preferred medium is Acryllic on Canvas board but she has also explored other mediums. She loves paintings with texture and you are able to see the deliberate brush strokes she uses to create texture in feathers and fur.

Kate Haskell

I am a self taught artist living in St Austell in Cornwall.  I paint animals in an abstract way to capture their characters. Cows and chickens are such funny characters and I love to portray them in such a humorous way. They all have individual names and no two are the same. I will accept commissions for cows or chicks if you would like your own personal version.  These start from £250 and will be an original Acrylic.

My landscapes are inspired by the beautiful scenery and marine life we have in Cornwall. Vast skies and changing seas. Different tones and different waves depending on the ever changing weather.

All of my work is for sale either as a one off original Acrylic or as prints and canvases. I also have a selection of cards with my prints. I want to make artwork affordable for everyone. The cards can be framed. If you are ordering online all the paintings will come unframed as posting glass products without damage has become problematic.  Thank you for taking the time to browse through my art hub.
